Who Collects Your Information
Transportation Network owns the web site and the personal information collected through the web site. We may outsource to a third party the hosting, design, and operation of the web site. However, such third parties do not and will not have any ownership interest in the personal information collected or any right to use the personal information apart from the operation of the web site.
Information Collection and Use
Visitors may browse through the informational portion of our web site without providing us with any personal information. However, for some of our services to work properly, we must collect some basic information from you. The information you provide us is used to help provide the highest possible quality service to you.
We collect the relevant personal information from you that we need to provide our services. The information we collect may include, but is not limited to: your name, home and business addresses, telephone number(s), email address(es), pick-up information, drop-off information, and credit card information. We also collect the preferences or special considerations or instructions you may provide to us.
In connection with the delivery of our services, we may share the personal information with third-party partners or vendors who help deliver or administer the services, but they are only permitted to use the information in connection with the delivery or administration of our services. For example, we share credit card information with a third-party credit card processing company, but that company is not permitted to use the credit card or personal information for any purpose other than to fulfill the specific purchase transaction.
We may also use the personal information collected through the web site to provide you with information or newsletters related to our services, and to promote our services to your company as listed in your profile. This may include sending you information and promotions via email, postal mail, fax, or via telephone calls.
We also use personal information on an aggregated basis for a variety of purposes, including operating and enhancing our web site and our services, internal marketing research, and management reporting. We reserve the right to use and disclose this aggregated information to third parties for any purpose. Aggregate information will not identify any one specific individual.
Like most web servers on the Internet, our servers collect and store all of the information that your web browser sends when it requests a web page. The data we collect includes, but is not limited to, the following: your IP address, computer browser type, date and time of visit, Internet address of the web page you came from, the page(s) you requested and the amount of data sent to your computer, and we may also use session cookies to facilitate your interaction with us. We do not store this information by user. We may use third party service providers to help us analyze certain online activities such as pages visited and average time spent on our websites. We may permit these service providers to use certain technologies in order to perform these services. However, we do not share personally identifiable information about our clients with such third parties, nor do they collect such information on our behalf.
We may use a feature of your browser called a "cookie" to identify you while you are using the web site. Cookies are small pieces of information stored on your hard drive, not on our web site. Cookies make your internet experience quicker and more convenient. You are always free to decline our cookies if your browser permits, but some parts of our web site may not work properly if you do. The most typical use for a cookie on our website is to identify one unique visitor from another visitor during a particular session. This provides us the data to perform the statistical analysis necessary to assure the website’s effectiveness, functionality, and responsiveness.
